My Story

Hi, I’m Pranjali — founder, curator and the face behind ZivaraLondon.

​

I grew up in India as the daughter of a farmer, surrounded by a way of life where things were made with care, resources were valued and the work of small makers mattered. Perhaps that is why I’ve always had such an appreciation for handmade pieces and the people and traditions behind them.

​

After marriage, life brought me to the UK. I built my career as a software professional and became a mum of two, but somewhere along the way I always held onto the dream of creating something of my own — something personal, meaningful and rooted in where I came from.

That dream eventually became ZivaraLondon.

​

The idea was simple: to bring together the rich craft traditions of India with the elegance and luxury of British living.. I wanted to share the beauty of Indian hand-block printing, embroidery and handcrafted textiles in a way that feels contemporary, distinctive and at home in everyday life.

Hand-block printing holds a particularly special place in ZivaraLondon. There is something beautiful about a craft passed through generations — the slight variations, the touch of the maker and the character that simply cannot be replicated by mass production.I personally work with artisans and small makers in India, combining traditional techniques such as hand-block printing and embroidery , colours and pieces that feel beautiful in contemporary homes and wardrobes.

To me, luxury isn't simply about a high price tag. It is about craftsmanship, individuality and how something makes you feel. I believe beautifully made pieces should feel special without feeling out of reach, and that belief continues to shape what I choose for ZivaraLondon.

Behind the website, designs, packing and every little detail, ZivaraLondon is an independent, woman-led small business run by me. My hope is to grow it thoughtfully while continuing to work with and value the skilled makers and small artisan businesses behind the pieces I bring to you.

Born from my roots in India and shaped by my life in Britain, ZivaraLondon brings together two beautiful heritages that are both part of my story.
